12:00 pm

Online Event

Join us at a webinar jointly hosted by Edinburgh Innovations and Edinburgh BioQuarter to hear the perspectives of our six speakers discussing the University of Edinburgh’s world class facilities that can support your projects from bench to bedside.

Our speakers are: Natalie Homer (Core Facilities Managers Network), Steve McSwiggan (Edinburgh Clinical Research Facility), Joyce Thomson (Edinburgh Clinical Trials Unit), Duncan Martin (Edinburgh Imaging), Val Hughes-White (Easter Bush Campus), and Lesley Penny (Bioresearch & Veterinary Services).

It takes an average of 12 years for a drug to travel from the research bench to the patient’s bedside. Discover the highly specialised expertise and facilities Edinburgh University has to offer academic colleagues and organisations. Each speaker will highlight the unique facilities and services available, the benefits of using them, and how to get in touch directly for scientific questions or support via Edinburgh Innovations for pricing and contracting.

As the University of Edinburgh’s commercialisation service, Edinburgh Innovations leads the University’s activities in industry engagement and business development. All commercial service work carried out using University of Edinburgh facilities is accessed via Edinburgh Innovations Consultancy Office.

Edinburgh BioQuarter is home to two major hospitals, clinical imaging facilities, Phase 1 clinical trial and management capability, and with many leading medical research institutes based on site, it is uniquely placed to revolutionise healthcare by harnessing discovery science and dynamic enterprise to make new drugs, treatments and technologies available to patients more quickly.

Edinburgh Innovations and BioQuarter are working in partnership to provide a supply chain of services on site with a triple helix ecosystem consisting of public sector, academia and commercial partners.
